Shining Light on Unity: Lantau Parishioners Celebrate Early Mid-Autumn Festival in Tung Fok

TUNG FOK, LANTAU ISLAND — Warmth, creativity, and community spirit illuminated Tung Fok on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, as lay volunteers and collaborators from the Tai O Chapel of Epiphany Parish (Mui Wo) gathered for a joyful celebration.

Facilitated by Fr. Jojo Ancheril, CMF, the gathering featured an advance Mid-Autumn Festival lantern competition, showcasing handcrafted designs that symbolized hope and connection across Lantau Island. The festive event held special significance as parishioners also honored the Feast Day of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, beautifully blending cultural heritage with deep spiritual devotion.
