Celebrating
the Sunday of
the Word of God (Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan)

Updated: Sep 23, 2025

On January 26, 2025, Claretian communities across the East Asia Delegation joined the universal Church in celebrating the Sunday of the Word of God. Through special liturgies, Bible enthronements, and moments of reflection, the faithful were invited to deepen their love for Sacred Scripture and to live out God’s Word in their daily lives. The celebration also underscored the missionary dimension of the Word—at the heart of the Claretian charism.

Footage from celebrations in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan captured the vibrant and prayerful spirit of the occasion.

Hirakata Catholic Church celebrated "God's Word Sunday" with a special Spanish Mass. The congregation joyfully sang Psalm 119: "TU PALABRA ME DA VIDA" (Your Word gives me life) during the service. Father Julio led the congregation in song and presided over the Mass, creating a spiritually uplifting experience for all in attendance.
