Canonical visitation at Barbastro House Taiwan

TAISHAN, TAIWAN — The Claretian Missionaries of the East Asia Delegation successfully concluded the Canonical Visitation of the Barbastro Community from September 10–16, 2026. Led by Fr. Jijo Kandamkulathy, CMF, Delegation Superior, the visit served as an “extraordinary act of government serving to strengthen the bond of unity in the Congregation and to direct its life and mission toward its goal” (CC 128).

The week-long canonical visit commenced at the Formation House in Taishan with the solemn celebration of community Evening Prayer, establishing a spiritual foundation for the program. Throughout the visitation, Fr. Kandamkulathy reviewed the apostolic work and fraternal life of the Claretians across both the Taishan community and Ruifang parish, highlighting their commitment to maintaining a robust community spiritual life and shared mission.

Eucharistic Celebration with the Local Faithful - The community gathered with the local parishioners to celebrate Holy Mass. Mass Celebrants (L–R): Fr. Peter Chao, Fr. Liju, and Fr. Jijo.

Fr. Paco formally presented the community chronicle, meeting minutes, financial accounts, and guest book to Fr. Jijo Kandamkulathy, CMF, Delegation Superior and Official Visitor, ensuring transparency, diligence, and faithful stewardship within the mission.
