Taiwan Clergy Explore Pastoral AI Integration at Annual Workshop

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Catholic clergy gathered in Taiwan for their annual formation workshop focused on the integration of artificial intelligence in modern pastoral ministry and parish administration.

Fr. Arturo, CMF, joined fellow priests, religious, and church leaders to explore how emerging digital technologies can support day-to-day church operations without compromising core pastoral values. The sessions focused on practical applications, including streamlined parish administration, enhanced communication workflows, and digital tools for scripture study and sermon preparation.  

Beyond practical utility, participants engaged in focused discussions on the ethical dimensions of AI, aligning with the Vatican's broader calls for responsible technology use centered on human dignity, truth, and community engagement. Workshop organizers emphasized that while digital tools can increase efficiency, direct pastoral care and personal spiritual discernment remain irreplaceable foundations of ministry.
