Taiwan — The Taipei Archdiocese celebrated Indigenous Peoples' Day and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on August 3 at Zhangshu Elementary School in Xizhi. Approximately 600 indigenous people dressed in traditional attire formed a procession, carrying the “Amis Tribe Traditional Attire Virgin Mary Statue.” Archbishop Zhong Anzhu praised their spirit of spreading the Gospel through song and dance, and urged everyone to not only preserve their culture but also to convey “faithful living.”
