In a vibrant celebration blending sacred tradition with ancestral spirit, the Archdiocese of Taipei held its annual Feast Day of Christ the King and Indigenous Folk Sports Games. The event, a highlight of the community's calendar, drew participants of all ages for a day of faith, fellowship, and athleticism.

The festivities commenced with a solemn Mass of Thanksgiving presided over by Bishop Chao Yung-Chi of the Archdiocese of Taipei. He was joined by Father Arturo Morales, CMF, the chaplain for the Aboriginal Tribes in Taiwan, who helps shepherd the local indigenous community.

Following the spiritual nourishment of the Mass, the atmosphere shifted to one of joyful competition. The annual Indigenous Games, a cherished tradition, transformed the afternoon into what many call the most exciting event of the year. From the youngest children to spirited participants under 80, the games are a beloved opportunity for community bonding and maintaining good health, with laughter and cheers filling the air.

As the first half of the games unfolded, the energy was palpable, building anticipation for the main events scheduled for the afternoon. The community came together not just in competition, but in a shared expression of culture and faith, truly making Christ the King the center of their celebration.
