Updated: 2 days ago

On July 20, 2026, the Claretian community in Taiwan enjoyed a memorable day of fraternity and recreation with a community outing to Quishan (Guishan) Island, also known as Turtle Island (龜山島), off the coast of Yilan. Surrounded by the island's breathtaking volcanic landscapes and the beauty of the Pacific Ocean, the community members spent quality time together, strengthening their bonds through shared conversations, laughter, prayer, and appreciation of God's creation.

The occasion was made even more meaningful as the community celebrated the 15th anniversary of Fr. Liju Kuriath, CMF's arrival in Taiwan, marking the day he began his missionary service on July 20, 2011. The community expressed gratitude for his fifteen years of dedicated pastoral ministry and missionary witness among the people of Taiwan. The joyful gathering became not only a time of relaxation but also an opportunity to thank God for His faithful guidance and blessings throughout Fr. Liju's missionary journey.
