Taiwan — The 2025 Indigenous Language Bible Study Competition, organized by the Youqi Cultural Arts Troupe and supported by the Indigenous Peoples Administration of New Taipei City, was held on June 29 at the Catholic Indigenous Pastoral Center in Zhonghe. Guided by Fr. Arturo CMF, the event welcomed elders and youth from the indigenous Catholic community to strengthen Bible study skills in indigenous languages and promote the integration of language, culture, and faith.Activities included team introductions, Bible competitions across youth, adult, and apostolic groups, and an award ceremony. The event encouraged family-based Bible reading, revitalized indigenous languages, and helped participants reconnect with their cultural identity through faith. It also supported language learning in urban areas and strengthened community ties. While successful, the event highlighted the ongoing need for greater youth engagement in preserving indigenous culture and language—calling for stronger collaboration between families and the Church.
